We always recommend to avoid drinking water, especially alkaline water, shortly before, during, and at least one hour after eating.
Instead, we recommend liquefying your foods through chewing, which activates your digestive system (and digestive hormones followed by enzymes). Alkaline water on an empty stomach does not trigger your digestive system in the way certain foods do.
Otherwise, we recommend drinking throughout the day in order to remain adequately hydrated. Drinking upon rising in the morning is highly recommended!
